New Pictures!

Hello, just a quick update. We had some technical difficulties the last few times we tried to update this plus we've been on vacation all last week. Anyway, enough excuses! Here are some new pictures. We are busy painting right now. Kitchen cabinets, trim, and interior doors are all going in starting this Monday. We are getting close to being done and are very excited about that.

Once again, sorry for the delay. We have had a busy few weeks working on electtric and plumbing and of course, the Brown County Fair. Dry wall is now close to be done, and once the siding guys get siding order right, we'll be looking like a house...at least from the outside. We are expecting the pace to pick up shortly with paint starting this weekend followed by flooring this Monday and cabinets the next. We took a ton of pictures and I'll just put them all at the end of this post. We leave Friday for our cruise...very excited and looking forward to some relaxation. We know we have a ton of work ahead of us!

Things Have Really Been Moving

It's been so long since we've updated here! That's primarily because things have been so busy! The roof is on and shingled, the electricity and plumbing will be finished up this weekend and the drywall is scheduled to begin on Tuesday.

We've also purchased cabinets and flooring now. We're in the process of purchasing outdoor lighting and tile for some areas.

We'll try to keep this better updated!

Movin' On Up

More work was done on the house today. We were able to go up to the on the second floor and map out how that area will look. Here are pictures from today!

Also, a glitch took place in our plans to place our cabinet order. We're doing that on Tuesday now. We did order our front door. It's a Pella traditional, two panel, fiberglass, woodgrain door.

It has been a busy two days! We have lot of new pictures to show. Framing has been coming along well despite a few last minute calls due to an error in our kitchen design. Tomorrow we are planning to spend the evening at Lowes ordering our front door and cabinets...wish us luck because it will probably drive us crazy. Anyway, here are lots of new pictures.

Finally a foundation!

A lot of work has been done since our last post...the foundation has been laid and everything is all set for framing to begin Wednesday. We're really excited for this phase of the construction to begin because it will finally look like a real house. Since things will be happening fast from now, you can expect that we'll be updating this more frequently. Stay tuned for some pictures of real progress. For now, here are a few pictures of the foundation that was recently laid.

Today I was playing around with a program called "Chief Architect" and made a quick 3d rendering of our house...just for fun...hopefully the real thing looks better than what I can do. Keep posted for more once I have time.
