Things are starting to happen!

This weekend we met with Jim Mayes, our builder, and went over some details such as window sizes, and getting the outside dimensions. We are excited to say that Thursday we break ground. It's been such a long process that we can't wait to get started.

On Saturday we had one of our trees that was starting to rot cut down (contrary to the first picture, I had nothing to do with the lumberjacking festivities). It was a big cherry tree and we hated to lose it but couldn't really risk having it fall on our house.

So now we are busy with more decisions...siding color, shingle color, trim color...plenty of other choices to make as well. As always we'll keep this updated with our progress!
